The factual records are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. You may copy, extract, adapt and republish them, commercially or otherwise, provided you credit Stippi and link to stippi.com.
Those records are: conference names, dates, cities, countries, formats, venues, published prices, session titles, session times, rooms, speaker names, and the affiliations printed against a speaker at a given edition. All of it was read from programmes the organisers published themselves. Facts are not ours to own, and we do not claim them.

Copyright in a compilation generally rests not on the underlying facts but on the skill and judgement exercised in selecting and arranging them. That is the basis on which this layer is reserved. It is a description of real work rather than a formality: the categories were argued, the vocabulary was reduced from 313 terms to 149 by hand, and the identity of every speaker was resolved one record at a time.
Put plainly
Build on the facts and we are glad of it. Copying the curation — the categories, the topic vocabulary, the notes, the decisions about who is who — is taking the work rather than the data.
Stippi indexes programmes that organisers have already published. Speaker names, talk titles and affiliations appear because they were printed on a public page. No profile photograph is used without permission, and nothing is inferred about a person beyond what an organiser printed.
If you are listed and would like a talk corrected, a slide or video link added, or your entry removed, write to us here. Requests are read by hand. Removal requests are confirmed by email with the person concerned before anything is acted on, so that nobody can remove somebody else's record.
Some content is withheld at the publisher's discretion rather than because it is wrong. Where a session has been unpublished, the slot is kept on the record and marked, so the organiser's running order is not misrepresented.
Every record states the date its programme was read. Organisers change programmes, and a record read in September may not describe a conference held in November. Where a record covers only part of a programme, the page says so. Where an organiser's own page contradicts itself, the record says that too.
Stippi is offered as it is, with no warranty. It is a reference compiled by hand, not an authority. If you find an error, tell us — a correction is more useful than a complaint, and faster.
Stippi is open to search and retrieval crawlers, and a sitemap is published to help them. robots.txt declines two crawlers whose sole function is AI model training and which have no bearing on search results; the reasoning is written into the file.
If you are building something on the records, the attribution requirement above applies in the same way it would to a human. A crawl does not change the licence.
